    Translation into Chinese

The official language in the People’s Republic of China, as in Singapore and Taiwan, is Chinese, based on the Mandarin (aka Putonghua) dialect. According to approximate estimates of experts, calculations by linguists, and independent statistical studies, about 70% of the entire population actively uses it in everyday life, correspondence and even more formal occasions. However, in Hong Kong and Macau, Cantonese (called Guangzhou or Yue in some linguistic circles) is considered official, a prestigious dialect that has actually become the second official language.

Due to such diversity and heterogeneity, translating from Russian to Chinese can be a difficult task. You will have to take into account many characteristic nuances, the context, for which segment or region the result will be used, and the tonality. Only a proven, professional, responsible translation agency like ours can cope with such a difficult task.

Features of written translation into Chinese

The Chinese language is complicated for many reasons. Firstly, the lack of a familiar alphabet. The symbolic system inherent in the Slavic group is replaced by characters (consisting of radical keys) denoting a syllable, a word, or a phrase. According to the Kangxi National Dictionary, there are 47,035 individual characters in total.

Media use a smaller part – 3,500 in everyday life, more in scientific papers, fiction and official papers. At the same time, some characters have a minimum of differences — often just a couple of strokes.

The second difficulty is the tone. Each syllable can be pronounced in four tones (the fifth, zero, is pronounced separately), failure to comply with which will lead to utter confusion. Only a professional can understand the difference between them.
