The case

The team faced quite a complicated task: to translate the literary texts about the famous Ukrainian personalities for the Viatel Film Studio within 21 working days. The terms couldn’t be prolonged as the texts should have been completed for the subtitles on YouTube.
All the texts were in full for acquaintance and in short for translation.

Our task was to translate artistic stories about famous Ukrainian figures from Ukrainian into English 330 pages for 30 calendar days, observing the deadline.

Quotation and terms

At the beginning, the team arranged all the files in folders according to the films release dates. Four translators should have been found specializing in literary translation, and their confirmation should have been received.

Resources optimization

Within the whole period, four translators and two editors with the specialized literary education were working on the project. One additional translator was kept as a reserve.

Workflow

The project manager distributed the load between the performers. The deadline for each file was set, and they were sent directly to the editor for revision. The whole team adhered to the schedule agreed.
