Vidby is an AI-based auto translation and editing service, that works with more than 70 different languages. The app is presented as a handy b2b sector tool. Its translation accuracy beats 99%, BusinessInsider says. Vidby is known to have been used during the speeches of the Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelenskyi in 2022.

How it was done

A client asked us for an app localization from English to Filipino, Chinese, Vietnamese, Malay and Indonesian. A difficult and important task — the app was to be presented to the governments of five different countries: Malaysia, Indonesia, China, Philippines and Vietnam

Our job was a high-quality localization of Vidby for the Filipino, Chinese, Vietnamese, Malay and Indonesian native speakers.

And app localization is the key factor of international market success. Low-quality translation and ignoring the cultural differences can lead to misunderstandings, low trust and negative reviews from the users, which can stain the brand’s image and its future products’ reputation. That’s why it’s not only about the text: the app’s interface, fonts, visual elements, time and date formats should be thoroughly adapted.
