Lara Lako is the author of the book 33 Stories for Happiness. These are not simply fairy tales, but an interesting way to educate children about the rules of life: it’s okay to be different; it’s important to love yourself; to make a dream come true, you have to do something; much depends on our perception, etc.

Our task was to translate a children’s book featuring many characters and specific content.
An experienced literary translator and a professional editor worked on this project. The challenge they faced was not just to translate the text accurately, but to ensure that it was understandable to English-speaking kids. It was important to adapt the character names and jokes featured in the book in the best way possible. The translator and the editor worked together and discussed the details throughout the entire process to ensure the young reader would be captivated by the stories from the very first sentence. For this purpose, the project was carried out in SmartCat, the perfect platform for parallel work.
