The case

The client needed the translation of the automobile maintenance manuals into Ukrainian. The documents format was quite complicated with plenty of schematic drawings and diagrams.

Our task was to correctly translate 610 pages of the instruction manual and layout of 760 pages from Russian to Ukrainian in 30 working days, observing the deadline.

Quotation and terms

At the beginning, the team calculated the interim deadline for each file so that the client could receive the order on time.

Resources optimization

Two translators, two editors and a proofreader were working on the project.

Workflow

We set the intermediary deadlines to each file. We transfered translation to Google documents for the editor and corrector to work simultaneously. Completed documents were sent for DTP. The whole team adhered to the schedule.
